Aerpro AMDVW3 10" Multimedia Receiver VW Blaupunkt White MFD
10" Wireless CarPlay for VW with White MFD Blaupunkt Amp, Parking Tones and Vehicle Menu Retained via Infodaptor, Low Resolution Output
Product Overview
The Aerpro AMDVW3 is a complete head unit upgrade kit for Volkswagen models fitted with a factory Blaupunkt amplified audio system and white Multi-Function Display (MFD). It covers the Eos (2007–2014), Passat (2006–2015)*, Polo (2010–2015)*, Scirocco (2009–2014)*, and Tiguan (2008–2014), delivering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB+ digital radio, and Bluetooth V5 via a 10" capacitive touchscreen while retaining the factory Blaupunkt amplifier, steering wheel controls (including the phone button), parking tones, and vehicle menu access.
This is the companion kit to the AMDVW2, which covers the same VW model range with Panasonic amplification. The AMDVW3 is specifically for white MFD (Blaupunkt) variants and uses a different integration approach: an Infodaptor Interface Harness that connects to the rear camera input on the head unit to carry the vehicle information signal. As a consequence, the video output from this interface is low resolution. If a high-definition aftermarket camera is installed on this system, its resolution will also be reduced.
The kit includes the AM1005D multimedia receiver, matte black facia kit, Infodaptor Interface Harness (Infolink SWC interface), SWC patch lead, amplifier retention harness, antenna adaptor, and a surface mount rear camera (110-degree, IP67, with 6m RCA cable and in-line reverse trigger).
Size warning — 10" screen obstruction by model:
- Passat (2006–2015): Kit covers part of hazard or clock on some models
- Polo (2010–2015): Kit covers part of buttons
- Scirocco (2009–2014): Kit covers vent adjusters
- Tiguan (2008–2014): Kit partially covers hazard button
Features & Benefits
- White MFD / Blaupunkt models only — the AMDVW3 is specifically engineered for VW variants with the white Multi-Function Display, which indicates Blaupunkt amplification; Panasonic-equipped variants use the AMDVW2
- Infodaptor Interface Harness — connects to the rear camera input on the head unit to carry vehicle system data; this integration path allows retention of the Blaupunkt amplifier, SWC, parking tones, and vehicle menu, but the output is inherently low resolution
- Low resolution output — the Infodaptor's use of the camera input means all video output from this interface is low resolution; this applies to vehicle information display and any connected camera signal
- HD camera resolution reduced — if a high-definition aftermarket camera is added to this system, its resolution will be reduced by the Infodaptor interface
- Factory Blaupunkt amplifier retained — the included amplifier retention harness preserves the Blaupunkt factory amplified audio system
- Parking tones retained — factory parking sensor tone function is preserved after installation
- Vehicle menu retained — full vehicle menu access is preserved via the Infodaptor Interface
- SWC retained including phone button — factory steering wheel controls carry over via the Infodaptor and SWC patch lead
- Factory reverse camera not retained — the rear camera input on the head unit is used by the Infodaptor Interface, so a separate factory reverse camera cannot be retained through the same input
- Size warnings apply to starred models — the 10" display partially covers factory dash controls on Passat, Polo, Scirocco, and Tiguan; review per-model notes above before purchasing
- Matte black vehicle-specific facia kit — matched to covered VW interior trim; antenna adaptor included
- Surface mount camera included (110°, IP67) — this is not the standard 720P AHD camera; it is a 110-degree surface mount unit with 6m RCA cable and in-line reverse trigger, mountable as front, rear, or reverse camera with optional parking guidelines
- Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto — connect over Wi-Fi for maps, music, calls, and messages; wired USB also supported
- Built-in DAB+ digital radio — digital audio clarity and expanded station access; AM/FM with RDS included
- Bluetooth V5 with HD Voice — hands-free calling, audio streaming, and phonebook access; internal and external microphone included
- 4 x 50W max output with 5CH 4V RCA preouts — supports additional external amplifiers alongside the retained Blaupunkt system

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I identify whether my VW has a White MFD?
The Multi-Function Display (MFD) is the small information screen in the instrument cluster or dash that shows vehicle data such as fuel consumption, trip distance, and audio information. On Blaupunkt-equipped VW models it has a white or light-coloured appearance, as opposed to the amber/orange display found on Panasonic-equipped models. If your MFD is white, this kit is for your vehicle. If it's amber or orange, use the AMDVW2.
What is the Infodaptor Interface and why does it output low resolution?
The Infodaptor is a vehicle integration module that reads vehicle system data (amplifier control, SWC, parking tones, vehicle menu) and outputs it through a video signal that connects to the head unit's rear camera input. Because it transmits data as an analogue video signal through the camera input rather than a native digital connection, the output is inherently low resolution. This is an architectural constraint of this integration method, not a defect.
What is the difference between the AMDVW3 and the AMDVW2?
The AMDVW2 covers VW models with Panasonic amplification; the AMDVW3 covers VW models with Blaupunkt amplification and White MFD. The AMDVW3 retains more factory features (adding parking tones and vehicle menu) but uses the Infodaptor via the camera input, which reduces output resolution. The AMDVW2 uses a conventional amplifier harness without this limitation.
How does the included surface mount camera compare to the standard AHD camera?
The AMDVW3 includes a surface mount camera with a 110-degree lens and IP67 rating, supplied with 6m of RCA video cable and an in-line reverse trigger. This is not the 720P AHD Sony camera found in most other Aerpro kits — it is a standard definition surface mount unit. Note that because the rear camera input is occupied by the Infodaptor Interface, this camera connects via the second camera input.
Will a high-definition aftermarket camera work with this kit?
It can be connected, but the resolution will be reduced. The Infodaptor Interface's use of the rear camera input means any camera signal passing through the system is downscaled to low resolution output. If maximum camera image quality is a priority, this integration architecture is a limiting factor to consider before purchasing.
